Meet the Band – Grooves on Silk

Led by an energetic female singer, Grooves On Silk (G.O.S.) launched in 2017 as a 4-piece band based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. G.O.S. brings nearly 30 years of combined professional experience and an extensive list of songs across 10 genres and 10 decades. Highly regarded in the hospitality industry, this live band has unique arrangements to make your entertainment stand out against competitors as it’s is not your average “cover band”. Grooves On Silk’s lead singer Joie is not only a singer but becomes a storyteller on stage. Most impressive is the fact that she sings in Portuguese, Spanish, French and English. Whomever the audience, you can rest assured that they will leave your audience entertained – if they even leave at all.

Enoch Cyrus – Bassist and Vocalist

Enoch Cyrus started music ten (10) years ago in the local gospel circle as a bassist and singer before branching out into the events entertainment circuit, performing with various bands at popular venues, as well as a few successful contracts on the high seas with Aida Cruise Line. This experience afforded him a wealth of knowledge, versatility and organizational skills as the leader of the unit. Cyrus is certainly enthusiastic about widening his career opportunities as he continues this exciting journey.

Joie Parris - Vocalist

Joie Parris is a world class performer with roots planted in Jazz, Funk and Soul. For over five (5) years Joie has performed at national festivals, regional and international events, luxury resorts and hotels around the world. Her work includes residencies at Mandarin Oriental luxury hotels in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Canouan, as well as a performance at the Royal Thonburi Palace in Bangkok Thailand. It is undeniable that Joie commands the stage and pulls her audience in with her unique style and vigor. Her deep rich tones and emotional delivery will take you all the way to the stars. Joie takes on the protagonist’s role in every song she sings, whether it’s in English, Portuguese,

French or Spanish. In addition to working on new music, she is on the never-ending journey of sharing her voice and love for music with the world.

Anell

Anell has been a musician in a plethora of scenarios as a session musician, a studio musician and a live performer as well. He has developed his skills and performance style quite adeptly. His high energy and radiant expressions on stage light up the atmosphere as is brilliantly captured in this great shot of him above. He has played for recording ar>sts and mul>ple live events. His genre versa>lity is quite strong and he has a willingness to work hard con>nuously. Most importantly he very disciplined and focused in his approach to playing chops and crea>ng the right “feel” for each song he performs. He plays just the right rolls in just the right places - never overplaying unnecessarily! A true entertainer, he is an amazing asset to any performance ouFit he is a part of.

Alexon

Alexon has been a widely travelled musician visiting over twenty-five countries. He also resided in the United Kingdom for over a decade where he performed with many exceptional musicians and recording artists including: Tinie Tempah, Don E, and Rick Leon James.

His flare and vibrancy on stage is captivating and he totally engages with the audience, his band mates and the performance itself.

As a professional musician he has been afforded the privilege of bringing much joy and satisfaction to listening guests, cruise companies and recording artistes and live performers alike.

Performing live is therapeutic for all his listeners.
